In doing so I have noticed that Darth John has stated I need to update my blog more often...so here I am.

However the only that keeps coming to my mind is "what the hell to put in this thing?" This weekend I was able to see my beloved Steelers beat an over-hyped Broncos team and that brought me joy..other then that I am still working and still paying bills, too many bills.

Billy D. Some of you might ask, "what does it mean to be on the bench?" Well I will tell you. Basically the next thirty days will consist of me rolling into work late and rolling out early. I will have no deliverables and no client to report to. Not that this isn't too far a departure from my previous project, however now I no longer have to hide it.

I was informed by lampside that the public is clamoring for more of Gray Area, so I will try and remember to post my poignant yet worthless comments more frequently.

Oh yeah...rode my motorcycle to work today it was fun.

Billy D. Sure she looks harmless, but this little one can run you to the ground. Not to mention trash a house in a matter of minutes.

Whenever I start writing one of these my mind goes blank and I can't think of anything "clever." Maybe that is a sign that my life really isn't clever or that I am boring. However I will stand by the idea that I am still cool and hip. Maybe another cup of coffee would fire up the brain to come up with some quarky observation or funny story about my weekend...brb.

Ah a nice cup of jo. So I had some severe flashbacks to my wrestling days over the 4th of July. So it didn't actually involve wrestling but it did involve a tournament, which if you have been a wrestler you would know sucks up your entire Saturday sitting and waiting for you name to be called, just to end up wrestling some hairy dude from Albert Lea. So I married into one of the most competitive families I know and this is apparent when we all get together over the 4th....all 32 of us. My brother-in-law decided to set up a ping pong tournament on the last night of our reunion, but this wasn't just a friendly game of table tennis we had full on brackets. Not to mention a "wrestle back" system and a true second match up. Needless to say the tournament didn't start until well after 9pm and I believe the last game was played at 2 or 3 am. As for me I "wrestled back" from losing my first match to the consolation semi-finals only to lose to my wife. Part of me was happy to be finally done, as it was 1:30 am, but part of me was pissed...does that make me as bad as them? Anyway there was a moment of clarity when I realized where my in-laws get their competitive spirit. Their mother, my mother-in-law was playing in the 1st annual klemp family singers ping pong tournament and there was a questionable call made...I believe she argued for several minutes after the call was made and talked about it the next day off an on. I still stand by the call that she lost that point, but that is a battle I don't believe I will ever win.

Maybe I am not boring, maybe I just needed coffee.

Billy D.
